JANES, Florence M. - Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family, at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, St. John’s on Monday October 13th 2003, Florence M. Janes (Pippy) of Carbonear, in her ninety first year. Predeceased by husband George D. Janes May 1988, former school teacher, principal at Carbonear and her six brothers. Leaving to celebrate her life with fond and loving memories son: Lorne (Joan) and her three children Stefan, Vanessa, Natasha and families. Also leaving to mourn her loving sister-in-law Susie Pippy, her four kind and compassionate nieces Florence Morrissey, Glenys Powers, Donna Gosney and Gaye King, two nephews Harris Pippy, Charlie Pippy and their families, special friends Mary Trickett and Genevieve Reeves. Also a large number of relatives and friends. Resting at CARNELL’S FUNERAL HOME, Freshwater Road, St. John’s on Tuesday, October 14 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. follow by a service at Carnell’s Memorial Chapel on Wednesday October 15 at 11:00 a.m. Then resting at Bethany United Church, Carbonear from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from where the funeral service will take place on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow in Bethany United Cemetery, Carbonear. No flowers by request; donations may be made in her memory to the Masonic Park Nursing Home. We thank God for her long life and many precious memories. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Noel’s Funeral Home, Carbonear.
